Lilacia Park Update:
Welcome to Lilac Time 2024! You will notice many changes to the Lilacia Park grounds near Maple St. and Park Ave. The Helen Plum Library has moved to 411 S. Main Street. The library is in the process of finalizing the demolition and grading of the old site. Helen Plum Library and Lombard Park District are working on the transfer of the old library property to the Park District, which is anticipated at the end of May. The impacted area will remain fenced off as the library demolition and grading are completed. The Park District plans to temporarily leave the fence in place once the property is transferred as grass is established in the open space. The Park District plans to incorporate the grounds into the footprint of Lilacia Park. The area will start as grass as long-term plans are evaluated to fully incorporate the space into the park. All other access points will remain open. We hope you enjoy your visit to Lilacia Park and appreciate your understanding of the changes this year.
Please note: The Country Store, offered on the top floor of the Coach House, will not be open in 2024. The downstairs restrooms at the Coach House will be available during Lilac Time. The Lombard Historical Society Lilac Emporium Gift Shop across the street is open in 2024. Please visit the Lombard Historical Society for more details.
