When is Lilac Time?
Lilac Time takes place the first three weeks in May each year.

 

Where is Lilacia Park?
The address for Lilacia Park is 150 S. Park Ave. Lombard.

 

Does it cost to visit the park?
Admission to Lilacia Park is always free. Other ticketed special events and programming occur throughout Lilac Time and can be found in the event schedule located here.

 

Where is parking available?
Street parking is available on Park Ave. across from Lilacia Park. Metra parking is also available on the weekends.

Where are the restrooms?
Public restrooms are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm at the Lombard Park District Administrative Offices located at 227 W. Parkside Ave. Port-o-potties are also on-site near the greenhouse in the park.

 

Where are some local restaurants to try after visiting the park?
Rosemary and Jeans Public House, Babcock’s Grove House, GroundLevel 105, Shannon’s Deli, and Gnarly Knots Pretzel Company

When is the best time to visit during Lilac Time?
Visit the Bloom-o-meter here. While the blooming of lilacs, tulips, and dandelions is weather-dependent, Mother’s Day weekend is typically when most lilacs bloom.

 

When will the lilacs be in full bloom?
It depends on the type of Lilac and the weather. If temperatures rise and stay risen for consecutive 50-degree days, lilacs will bloom sooner.

How long do the tulips bloom?
Tulips begin blooming anytime between April and June, weather dependent.

 

How long do the lilacs bloom?
Lilacs are weather-dependent and begin blooming anytime from the end of April through June.

The corner of Park Ave. and Parkside Ave. or the Lombard Park District Administrative Offices located at 227 W. Parkside Ave.

 

Where can I park a bus if I am bringing a large group?
A bus can be dropped off on the corner of Park Ave. and Parkside Ave. A bus can be parked in Edward-Elmhurst Health Center at 130 S. Main St if room is available.
